Purchasing 1 piece means you're buying 1m of fabric in one piece, for example, if you buy 6 pieces, that means 6m of fabric in one piece. If you need several silks, for example, select 20 pieces and write in the comments, please 2x10m.
Material cut to less than 6m is non-returnable!
We offer material cut by the meter, allowing optimal length selection for the height of the room.
If you already have the hardware (carabiners/climbing eight), you can order the fabric alone. This is the same material we offer in our sets. Choose any length to suit your needs.
Which length to choose? For a hammock, about 2.5m of material is used for the knots, so with a 6m material order, after tying the knots, you'll get a hammock with a "working height" of about 1.75m. For aerial silk, the material is folded in half and suspended on a climbing eight. If your room is 4 meters high, you need at least 9m of material. However, we recommend ordering at least 10 meters of material to have some lying on the ground. A longer material allows for more comfortable techniques involving wrapping with the silk, e.g., leg knots.
Safety:
The minimum static load our aerial silks can withstand is 1200 kg. With a safety factor of 10:1 for acrobatic exercises - the dynamic load is 120 kg. In practice, two adults can use the silk-hammock without concerns. Our silks have slight longitudinal stretch, which decreases with use, and more flexibility transversely. The material is produced in Poland, 100% polyester. Material width: 150-160 cm (+-5 cm). After extensive analysis and testing on selecting the ideal material, this was deemed the best. Why? It has the right strength, is pleasant to the touch, doesn't cause wounds on the body, and has the right thickness and elasticity. Our silk-hammocks are tested according to the standard: PN-EN ISO 13934-1:2013-07, and additionally under normal working conditions.
Storage and maintenance:
Store in a dry place, at room temperature, away from sharp and rough objects. Wash at 40 degrees C (without hardware: carabiners, climbing eights, or swivels).
Be careful not to damage the material with a carabiner during assembly. Before each use, check if the material has no holes or snags. Material with damage is not fit for use. Practice without shoes, belts, protruding jewelry, and other sharp objects.
