Standard acrobatic silks from Flying Rose Sport have medium and higher elasticity for perfect cushioning during falls. If you are looking for stiffer silks, write to us.

Safety

It is also worth knowing what we are practicing on. The minimum static load that our silks can withstand is 1200 kg. Assuming a safety factor of 10:1 for acrobatic exercises, the dynamic load is 120 kg. In practice, two adults can use the silk-hammock without any worries. Our silks are characterized by low longitudinal stretch, which decreases with use, and greater flexibility in the transverse direction. We produce the material in Poland, it is 100% polyester. Material width: 150-160 cm (+-5 cm). After many analyses and tests on the selection of the ideal material, this one was recognized as the best. Why? It has adequate strength, is pleasant to the touch, does not cause wounds on the body, has appropriate thickness and elasticity. Sling hammocks are tested in accordance with the standard: PN-EN ISO 13934-1:2013-07, and additionally under normal operating conditions.

Storage and maintenance

Before you start exercising, make sure the material has no holes or nicks. Store the silks in dry places, at room temperature. Avoid sharp objects that could damage the material. The silks can be washed in a washing machine after removing the accessories. Recommended settings: temperature 40 degrees, gentle spinning, do not add rinse aid. If used properly, the silk can last up to 5 years.
